Here is the full statement per BCHS:
On January 25, BCHS rescued 23 dogs from a residence in Aliquippa, PA. These dogs were found heavily chained and exposed during the snowstorm, without adequate access to food, water, or shelter, and in varying states of injury. After our Humane Society Police Officer investigated the residence, it was determined there is reasonable suspicion that these dogs were being used in illegal fighting activities.  All the dogs were stabilized and are now warm and safe at BCHS. They will be directly monitored by Medical staff for at least two weeks as they recover.  A case this size means resources are being rapidly depleted.
